My name's Dave. I write about sports  (poorly) and play with audio (less poorly), sometimes I do standup comedy (very poorly).

Before starting this site I was the editor of the now extinct Hey Chicago: A Cubs Fan Podcast which probably would have turned into something more than an experiment with my friend Zach if it weren't for a global pandemic-and a baseball season that (at first) didn't make it through spring training. I own an audio production company in Chicago. I wrote a thing for a Sports Illustrated project, once.

Some of my most recent(ly abandoned) work can be found over at Not a Sports Writer which hasn't been updated since before Andrew Luck retired.

This is something new and experimental. There's not a word for it that anyone in their right mind would actually around other beat-writers and actual journalists. Except I'm not a journalist. I'm yet another millennial with a blog and a self-inflated sense of capability that is completely unearned and unproven.
